| Home >> Site >> History I've been interested in web design and making web sites, and ever since around New Year's 2004 I toyed with the idea of creating a Beyonce fansite. At first I didn't know what to do, I was wondering where I could get hosting and eventually I just ended up using Geocities. I planned on opening in February, and then I pushed it back to March, but after I while I decided that I just couldn't make a good enough site. Nearing the end of August 2004 I felt like I wanted to give it a try at making a fansite again and at I thought of making one for Christina Milian at the time I loved Dip It Low and I realized that there weren't many sites for her around. When I realized that there wasn't very much to do with a site for her, I changed my mind and finally decided to go back to who I originally wanted, my #1 - Beyonce. I had a good host and everything but I was too busy with school and didn't bother to finish up the site. Over the next two years, I complated creating a bunch of different sites off and on. Each time I decided it against it because of a combination of other good sites around and being busy with school. I thought of making temporary promo sites for Lil Kim with her album release of The Naked Truth, Mariah Carey, Olivia, etc. I eventually realized that it would be easiest to just have one site for all of my favourite ladies in one. I almost opened up a Beyonce fansite on September 4, 2006 to coincide with Beyonce's 25th birthday and the debut of her sophmore album B'Day. In December 2006 I finally decided that I would be fully committed to having a website but I knew that I would need help. So I talked to Jason, a friend on one of the forums I frequent and he agrred to help me out with making the graphics, gathering images, etc. A few weeks before site opening, I started to promote by posting on message boards, listing on celebrity fansite listing, adding the url to major earch engines, and other things. After all of the years of planning, and making layouts and content, and debating whether or not, the site was finally ready for it's opening on New Year's Day 2007. We thought January 1 would be the perfect day since it symbolizes a fresh new beginning and rebirth. And here it is today... The Celebrity Network!
